Maxed out farming skill spring year 1?

So I can't find the post anymore, but I'm pretty sure there was someone who said they usually max out their farming skill in spring of year 1, and I'm just wondering how? I tried, but I don't think I had enough stamina or money to manage it. If someone could either help me find the post/a similar post or tell me their way of doing it, that'd be great!
